51st Va Inf Co D

    This is the home of the 51st Va Co D reenacting group. We are primarily based in Patrick County, Virginia with some members out of TN, NC, and Northern Va. This is not a hate site, but a site to share what we do and why. Many of us have ancestors who fought in the 51st during the war, and we do this as a way to remember the sacrifices they made for something they believed in. These where young men who felt it as their duty to answer the call to arms to defend their home state of Virginia, their homes, and families. Many of these men never returned to their homes and families and remained on the fields where they fell or the northern prisons that claimed their lives.
